Yelagin Park International Street Theatre Festival

One of quirkiest annual events in St Petersburg is the Yelagin Park International Street Theatre Festival where art of street theatre is celebrated. Street artists from around the world gather in the grande park to show off their magnificient skills to an audience of locals and tourists.

Yelagin Park will host during the 3rd, 4th and 5th of June many sites where different artists will be performing in a vast array of shows from traditional shows to avant-garde and experimental performances.

Russia Day (June 12th)

One of the newest national holidays in Russia is the Russian Day. It is the day off for Russian people and many banks, offices and shops are closed. The Day celebrates the beginning of some democratic reforms taken in Russia as well as honoring Great Russian nationality, this happens throughout the country.

 Imperial Gardens Of Russia Festival (June 19th)

This festival is an annual celebration for the citizens and visitors, as well as one of the most significant events in the cultural life of St. Petersburg, Where master gardening and landscape art will happen, every year comes with a new theme.

The Scarlet Sails

The Scarlet Sails is the biggest celebration in St. Petersburg, the most massive and famous public event during the White Nights Festival. It takes place between the 20th and 21st of June.

The tradition is highly popular for spectacular fireworks, numerous music concerts, and a massive water-show including a battle among tens of boats full of pirates on the waters of Neva River.

Festival of Water Lanterns

Between the 26th and 28th of June, the pond of the ‘Yusupov Garden’ will turn into the realm of man-made luminous lotuses and water lilies which will set off on a journey together with enchanting opera performances and musical compositions performed by the symphony orchestra.

The Stars of the White Nights Music Festival

Between the 17th June and 27th July, this festival hits St Petersburg. It’s one of the ten best music festivals in the world today, and among the most popular and diverse musical events in Russia.
Each year, the festival showcases the best opera and ballet performances at the Mariinsky Theatre, with its full range of symphonic tunes, chamber music and theatrical premieres.

The Battle of the Neva

From the 11th to the 12th of July you can see spectacular mass battles, fighting and jousting tournaments right in the center of St. Petersburg. This is the opportunity to be apart of History, to try on armor or just enjoy a rare show. 

During the festival there will be a historic Fair and themed venues for everyone to enjoy, this is where people can learn how to fight with swords.

Stereoleto

‘Stereoleto’ which in Russian means ‘Stereo Summer’ this event, based in St Petersburg is is a landmark event in the cultural life of the city. It’s a summer festival of contemporary and alternative music in Russia.

It provides entertainment for people of all ages (this includes children) where areas of the festival even have playground zones.

PETROJAZZ

From July 13 to 14, takes place the biggest international open-air music festivals in St Petersburg. Petrojazz has been recognised as the best open air music festival in Russia.

This event consists of an eight-hour music program, dance workshops, an exhibition of paintings and interactive entertainment.
