Peter the Great

The bronze horseman, is an important monument for the founder of St Petersburg, otherwise known as (Peter the great). he is stood on Senatskaia Ploshchad (square), pointing towards the Neva river.

This great stature of history is infant of the St Isaac’s cathedral and other historical architecture such as the Senate and Synod – notorious for the civil and religious governing bodies of pre-revolutionary Russia.

A few facts about St. Petersburg :

St. Petersburg is the second largest city of Russia and one of the world’s major cities. It has played an important role in Russian history since its founding 1703.

The foundation of the city are the cultural, historical and architectural landmarks. Founded by Tsar Peter (the great)

Russia has a population if 145.2 million and St. Petersburg has a population of 5 million

St. Petersburg is in the northwestern part of Russia. Located on the delta of the Neva River at the head of the Gulf of Finland.
